Welcome to IFDEPS 2016 Forum

We are pleased to announce
International Forum on Detectors for Photon Science (IFDEPS)
which will take place at Fuji View Hotel (http://www.fujiview.jp/en/index.html)
in Lake Kawaguchi area nearby Mt. Fuji of Japan, from February 28th to March 2nd 2016.

With the continual advancement of accelerator based X-ray sources, photon science
is entering a new era where detectors play an increasingly important role.
New challenges and limitations will be discussed in this forum, as well as new
opportunities from the viewpoint of both technology and applications, including:
       - New detection challenges in photon science applications
       - Latest detector development for X-ray FELs and Storage Rings
       - Novel concepts toward future detectors

This forum is intended to provide unique opportunity to discuss present and future
of photon science from the detector perspective. In addition, the forum has one
Highlight Technology Topic session. This year, the selected topic is:
Wide Dynamic Range CMOS Image Sensor Technology for Photon Science
Photon science experts will discuss detector needs and possible technological
solutions with the specialists in this interdisciplinary field.

Answers to specific questions can be obtained by writing to rscws@spring8.or.jp.
We look forward to seeing you at Lake Kawaguchi.
